Republic Lockers

ImageOur lockers have proven to install more easily and trouble-free than any other system on the market.  Driven by the need for security, safety, appearance and durability, our suppliers have been refining their designs for nearly a century.  Our lockers are available in a variety of configurations to suit corridor, athletic room and special applications.

Locker bodies are fabricated from premium-quality cold-rolled steel.  They feature reliable latching systems and a premium finish.  Tops, bottoms and shelves are stiffened by flanges on all four sides.  Back and upright vertical rear corners feature a double-lapped design for extra strength.

Corridor Lockers

Corridor lockers are designed specifically for safety, security and great appearance for decades of use in high-traffic areas.  Secure, trouble-free latching keeps belongings safe.  Hundreds of size, style and color combinations deliver a storage solution made for you.  All of our corridor lockers feature continuous vertical door strikes for strength and security.  Full-loop, five-knuckle hinges are riveted to the door and welded to the side frame.  Easy-to read aluminum number plates are mounted on doors or inImage handle pockets.

Athletic Lockers

There's a locker for every team - from elementary school to professional sports franchise.  Gym lockers, team lockers, health club lockers, park and recreation lockers can all be found in our extensive product line.  Heavy-gauge steel doors and bodies and a premium paint finish stand up to decades of abuse.  Latching systems are designed for high security and low maintenance.  Perforation options are available for either visual inspection or concealment of locker contents, with both options providing maximum ventilation.

ADA Lockers

Although the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) does not address lockers specifically, it does list desirable features and provide guidance for the placement of lockers within a room.

ImageHandle

ADA guidelines state that door hardware "...shall have a shape that is easy to grasp with one hand and does not require tight grasping, tight pinching or twisting of the wrist to operate." Recessed handles comply with this requirement and can be specified for single, double, or triple tier lockers.

Shelf & Bottom Location

If the locker contains a shelf, it must be located at a height conforming to forward or parallel reach requirements so that it can be reached from a seated position.  The bottom of the locker must also have a shelf located at a height conforming to parallel or forward reach requirements so that any item placed or dropped on the bottom shelf is accessible.

Placement

The locker must be located in an unobstructed position that maintains full clearance from the wall or other obstacles and allows sufficient turning radius for easy access and exit by parallel or frontal approach.

Locks

To conform to ADA guidelines, lockers specified for ADA use must employ ADA-compliant locks.  Digilock ADA-compliant locks provide one-touch access by attaching a button key to the lock face.  Audio/visual indicators are provided for visual, or hearing impaired users.
